Active Education

Active Education, partnered with Virgin Unite and SuperSports “Let’s Play”, focuses on promoting and encouraging regular activity.  They believe that every child in South Africa should participate in Physical Education lessons at school.  To this end, we are lucky enough to have a coach, who comes to Forest Town School every Friday to play outdoor games with our children and teach them ball skills and sportsmanship.

Physical Education

Educators prepare lessons in Human Movement in which learners are exposed to a variety of ball skills based activities, dance and movement.

Learners are able to swim during the summer months. They participate in basic water safety, water confidence, swimming lessons for the non-water borne swimmers and fun swimming games.

Sports Days

A variety of Fun Sports Days are planned throughout the year. They include:

  • Fun Gala Day
  • Wits Education Sports Day
  • Active Education Sports Day
