FOREST TOWN SCHOOL – SEP
Skills Educational Programme SEP The aim of this project is to empower learners with significant cognitive and physical disabilities ranging from 14 to 18 years. The programme is well organized, planned and innovative. It is self-sustaining because of the various crafts that are made and sold. The learners wear a Forest Town t-shirts and jeans as their uniform.
Learners are engaged with one or more of the above skills, depending on their ability, four times a week on a rotation basis. This exposes them to the various disciplines and allows room for their strengths to be identified.
Ultimately the project aims to create self-sustaining hubs that will provide employment for our young adults as well as offer a valuable service to the community.
