Learners entering Forest Town School have their hearing tested at the school’s Audiology Department. If a hearing problem is detected, the school audiologists will work with the child’s parents/caregivers to find the best way forward in dealing with the problem. This may involve further, advanced testing outside the school, hearing aid fitting by government or private agents and/or a visit to an Ear-Nose-and-Throat (ENT) Specialist.

The school has a visiting ENT specialist (doctor) – delete doctor please (once a month)-delete once a month and please add: when necessary. He examines children referred to him by the teachers or therapists and prescribes medicine as necessary, or advises on further courses of action or referral.
